Description

Now listen, folks. I know what you’re thinking. It’s Chex Party Mix, yada yada yada, ya seen one batch of Chex Party Mix, ya seen ‘em all. But I truly believe that if you try this Chex Party Mix, if you open your mind and your heart, you’ll become addicted overnight.

Ingredients

  • 3 cups Corn Chex
  • 3 cups Wheat Chex
  • 3 cups Rice Chex
  • 2 cups Pretzel Sticks
  • 2 cups Mixed Nuts
  • 1 stick (to 1 1/2 Sticks) Butter)
  • 3 Tablespoons Worcestershire Sauce
  • 6 dashes (to 12 Dashes) Tabasco Sauce
  • 3 cloves (to 5) Garlic, Mashed
  • 1 teaspoon Lawry's Seasoned Salt
  • ¼ teaspoons Onion Powder

Preparation

Dump cereal into a large mixing bowl. Add in pretzel sticks and nuts.

In a microwave-safe bowl, add remaining ingredients and microwave until butter is melted. Stir together and toss into a cereal mixture, stirring as you go.

Transfer mix onto one or two baking sheets, and bake in a 250-degree oven for 1 hour and 15 minutes, stirring every 15 minutes. Let cool and store in an airtight container.

Grab a handful every forty minutes. Eat. Spoil your appetite.

This was a great recipe! So easy! I would like a little more flavor of the spices so I may add just a pinch more next time. My kids loved it!

Yay! I was looking for a recipe like this. I’m 3 months pregnant and have been loving the bagged variety of this lately! Most of the other recipes seemed to be sweet (and sweet stuff has sort of made me feel not so great this pregnancy) so I was so excited to see this one–can’t wait to try!! Thanks for sharing!

My husband loved it. It was the perfect football game treat. Don’t be afraid of the hot sauce I used 6 drops on a half batch and it was not too spicy. I think next time I’ll add peanut M&Ms for a bit of sweet with the salty. Better than the bagged mix for sure.

Just fixing right now for Christmas at my family’s tomorrow and it is very easy and very tasty to make. I love the addition of the hot sauce. They were all out of rice chex (can’t imagine what everyone is making with that for the holiday season..lol) so I substituted cheerios and turned out just as good. Thanks for sharing such a great recipe Ree!
