Simple, perfect, crunchy onion rings! Without all the grease!
Slice the onion into thin rings. Place all rings in a baking dish or large bowl. Pour the buttermilk over the rings. Cover, and refrigerate for 1 to 2 hours.
Preheat oven to 450ºF. Mix together the breadcrumbs, panko and corn flakes in a shallow plate or bowl. Dip each soaked ring into the crumb mixture and coat well. Place each coated ring onto a greased cookie sheet. Bake for 10–12 minutes or until golden brown!
