Description

This sauce makes my mouth happy. It’s sweet, with a bit of a kick and a whole lotta sass. Excellent with pork or chicken!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup Regular Ol' Yellow Mustard
  • ½ cups Balsamic Vinegar
  • ⅓ cups Brown Sugar, Packed
  • 2 Tablespoons Butter
  • 1 Tablespoon Lemon Juice
  • 1 teaspoon Cayenne Pepper

Preparation

Combine all ingredients in a medium saucepan. Simmer over medium-low heat for 30 minutes, stirring often.

Serve with chicken or pork. Leftovers will keep for weeks if kept in an airtight container.

Yum. We made this tonight on chicken thighs and drumsticks. Nicely different from our standard.

I made this without butter, because I poured it over the drumstick before cooking. It’s excellent, especially for those of us who don’t like those sticky-sweet BBQ sauces. Tastes like Georgia BQ!
