Description

Perfect Sour Cream Mashed Potatoes!

Ingredients

  • 3 pounds Yukon Gold Potatoes
  • ½ cups Milk
  • 1 stick Butter
  • ½ cups Sour Cream, More To Taste
  • Salt And Pepper, to taste
  • ½ teaspoons Garlic Powder

Preparation

Place potatoes in a large pot with enough water to come up 2 inches over the top of the potatoes. Bring to a boil and cook for 20 to 25 minutes, until fork tender. Drain the potatoes, put them into a bowl or back into the pot and mash them. Mix in the milk using a potato masher or an electric mixer, until fluffy. Slice the butter and add to the mixture; mix well. Stir in the sour cream and season with salt, pepper and garlic powder.

Wow–I have to serve these with my pot roast I’m cooking for a friend whose wife has been in the hospital for over a month now. I thought about putting ht potatoes in the roast–but I think these will be Much more of a comfort food–and he needs that comfort right now! Sour cream–how can it NOT be good!
