Easy side dish that goes with any fish, beef, or chicken main course.
In a large pot, bring water to a boil and add pearl onions and peas,. Cook 8 minutes. Drain and set aside in a bowl.
In a large skillet over medium heat, add butter and flour. With a whisk, mix to create a roux. When flour has cooked and the roux is thick, add heavy cream, milk, and black pepper. Whisk until thickened. Add cooked pearl onions and peas and simmer an additional 6 minutes, stirring often.
Serve piping hot!
