Description

This is a great recipe, even for the (Brussels sprouts) “haters”! I have 4 new Brussels sprouts fans now after making these at Thanksgiving. A must try!

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds Fresh Brussels Sprouts, Sliced In Half
  • 1 Tablespoon Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Each, Salt And Pepper
  • ½ cups Sliced Sweet Onion
  • 3 teaspoons Brown Sugar
  • 6 strips Bacon Cooked Crisp And Crumbled

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F and cover a baking sheet with aluminum foil.

Toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, salt and pepper and coat well. Arrange on the cookie sheet in a single layer and bake in the preheated oven for 15 minutes. At that point, pull the baking sheet from the oven and add the onion to the baking sheet, toss everything together and bake for another 10 minutes. Finally, sprinkle the brown sugar and bacon bits over everything, mix in to coat evenly and bake for a final 10 minutes, or until everything is nice and caramelized. Remove from the oven and serve immediately…they’re best when they’re hot!

My husband and I absolutely loved this way of roasting Brussel Sprouts! Mine were done way before the recommended time so the next time I make these, I may reduce the roasting time or temp. Great flavor – great recipe!

Got my husband to eat brussel sprouts (add bacon to anything and he eats it)! Thank you for adding a side dish to my list !
