Description

Our favorite sweet potato fries – they make an appearance in our house at least 3 times a week!

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Sweet Potatoes
  • 3 Tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper
  • ½ teaspoons Smoked Paprika
  • 2 Tablespoons Brown Sugar

Preparation

Preheat oven to 425F.

If desired, peel sweet potatoes. Begin cutting potatoes into wedges – I just cut them in half and continue cutting in half until I get the wedge size that I want.

Add potatoes to a bowl, and combine with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and brown sugar. Mix thoroughly with your hands so every wedge is covered.

Set a wire rack on a baking sheet and spray with non-stick spray. Lay wedges on the wire rack. Bake for 25 minutes, then check to see if the potatoes are close to where you’d like them. I usually rotate the pan at this time and put them back in for 15 minutes. They may also need an additional 5-10 after that.

These were so good! My kids usually won’t touch sp fries but everyone ate these and even went back for seconds. Next time I make them I might make a separate batch with a little bit of cayenne for kick. Thanks for the great recipe!

I bought my sweet potatoes already cut into sticks, and they didn’t need as long to bake of course. We always eat these at hamburger places when they are on the menu, but if you make them at home, you can control the sugar and eat more! Haha!

I’ve never tried them with brown sugar before, that is genius! My next BF free weekend will consist of a lot of these I’m sure!

Yes, I love these too! To speed things up a little ( I usually make them when I come home for lunch) I dice them up, throw them in a pan w/ olive oil, sprinkle with spices and toss in a spoonful of brown sugar and fry them up quickly…yummm!

Love them! I make these quite a bit too. I think my favorite part is the smoked paprika, gives them a BBQ flavor. I also use a bit of garlic and onion powder. The smoked paprika is very tasty on lightly toasted almonds too :)

These were delicious! The paprika really gives it a little kick! I sliced them pretty thin to get them really crispy and they were great!

I just made these and they are wonderful! The only reason I didn’t give them 5 mitts is because I didn’t have any paprika, so I didn’t get the full effect. I’ll have to try again when I have some.
