Fresh vegetables are the best, unless they are fresh out of the garden and then you cannot beat them.
In a large Dutch oven, cook green beans and ham on medium heat with water up just over the beans. Cook for 20-30 minutes. Add potatoes and salt, cover and turn heat down to low, cook another 15-20 minutes or until the potatoes are done when pierced with a fork.
Note: Amount of ham and salt can be adjusted to your taste.
