Description

Vegetables…wrapped in bacon

Ingredients

  • 2 bags (12 To 16 Oz. Bag) Frozen Green Beans Or Hericot Verts
  • 1 pound Bacon
  • 1 stick Unsalted Butter
  • ⅓ cups Packed Brown Sugar
  • 1 clove Garlic, Minced

Preparation

First start by preparing the green beans by blanching or steaming them. I cheated by buying the steam-in-the-bag kind from the freezer section.

Let them cool a bit, then bundle about 8 together.

Wrap each bundle with a half a slice of raw bacon, twisting the bacon together to tie it all in place. Place the twist side of each bundle down on a greased baking sheet.

Now that the bundles are prepared, it’s time to make the glaze. Start by melting the butter over low heat in a sauce pan. Once melted, add the brown sugar and garlic. Cook and stir until it resembles caramel.

Then, take the glaze off of the heat and drizzle over each green bean bundle.

Bake at 350 degrees F for 35-40 minutes.
