This is a recipe similar to what my great grandmother used to make with cucumbers from her garden. Cool, crisp, delicious. The cayenne gives it a subtle kick that is a perfect addition to this salad.
Peel and slice the cucumbers thinly. Slice onion thinly. In a medium sized bowl, whisk together remaining ingredients. Stir in the cucumber and onion. Cover tightly and refrigerate. Can be made as little as 30 minutes ahead, or days ahead. The longer it sits in the fridge, the better it gets!

My family loves cucumber salads. Can’t wait to try this with the cayenne!
