I have hated green beans my whole 23 years on this earth. Until now. This sweet spin on a classic dish turned this kid into a green bean lover!
Cook bacon in a skillet until almost done. Add onions and cook until tender. Scoop out bacon and onions and put in a separate bowl. Add vinegar and sugar to bacon drippings. Cook until it comes to a boil. Add bacon and onion back to the skillet.
Pour green beans into a 9×13 pan. Pour skillet mixture over the beans. Bake at 300 degrees for one hour. Amazing!
