Description

This recipe has a great flavor combination and it’s a great side dish.

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 cup Plain Bread Crumbs (or Panko)
  • ¼ teaspoons Ground Basil Leaves
  • 4 cans (15 Oz. Size) French Style Green Beans, Drained
  • 2 cans (15 Oz. Size) Diced Tomatoes
  • ¼ teaspoons Black Pepper
  • 1 whole Diced Yellow Onion

Preparation

Preheat oven to 400ºF.

In a small bowl add grated Parmesan cheese, breadcrumbs (or panko) and basil and mix together. Set aside.

Add the drained French style green beans into a large baking dish (9x12x3). Add diced tomatoes and stir well. Add black pepper and diced onion into the mixture and stir again. Add the Parmesan and breadcrumb mixture to the top of the casserole, sprinkling it in a single layer.

Bake uncovered at 400ºF for 20 minutes.

Often at gatherings of family and friends I use them as guinea pigs to test new recipes. This dish was a real hit. Besides being delicious, it is so easy to throw together.
