Description

Great side dish to complement any picnic, BBQ, or family function. They are great with steaks, hamburgers, hot dogs or whatever you like!

Ingredients

  • 1 can (28 Oz. Size) Any Type Baked Beans (I Like Bush's Original)
  • 1 can (15 1/2 Oz. Size) Black Beans, Drained And Rinsed
  • 2 teaspoons Cumin
  • ¼ cups Brown Spicy Mustard
  • 1 whole Onion, Diced
  • 1 whole Jalapeno, Stem And Seeds Removed, Diced
  • 3 cups Shredded Cheddar Sharp Cheese (divided In Thirds)
  • 3 packages 2.1 Ounce Packages, Smoked Pre-cooked Slice Bacon, Divided

Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 F.

In a large mixing bowl add baked beans and black beans and mix together gently with a spatula. Add cumin, spicy mustard, diced onion and diced jalapeno and stir together.

In a 9 x 12 baking dish add 1/3 of the bean mixture across the bottom of the baking dish. Spread the beans with an offset spatula. Add one cup of the cheddar cheese to the top of the beans. Add 1 package of the pre-cooked bacon (lengthwise) on top of cheese. Repeat with 2 more layers of each.

Bake uncovered at 375 F for 20-25 minutes. It will be bubbly and smelling delicious! Serve with any BBQ meat option and enjoy! It’s a real crowd-pleaser.
