Description

In 10 minutes, you can have delicious baked potatoes!

Ingredients

  • 2 whole Potatoes (any Kind Work)
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ½ teaspoons Black Pepper

Preparation

Wash, scrub, and pat dry potatoes. Lay them out in a single layer on a microwavable-safe dish, and poke holes in each using a fork. This will allow steam to escape so potatoes don’t explode.

Microwave for 10 minutes on high. There should be no resistance when poked with a fork. Allow to cool for a couple of minutes then slice down the middle with a knife. Sprinkle each potato with salt and pepper to taste and enjoy!

We’ve baked potatoes in the microwave for many years and love that there is such a quick way to get them done. Of course we have to load them up with butter and sour cream as well as salt and pepper. Sometimes we even turn them into a full meal by topping them with chili and cheese. Thanks for sharing the idea about using the microwave to help get “baked” spuds on the table FAST!
