Make your own healthy and delicious applesauce at home! You won’t believe how easy it is. Also, by picking your choice of apples, you can control the tartness or sweetness of your sauce.
Place ingredients in a saucepan and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium, cover, and simmer for 20–30 minutes or until apples are tender. Or place ingredients in a slow cooker and cook on high for 5–6 hours.
After apples are cooked, pour into a blender and pulse a few times to break up any chunks. This recipe will make 4 cups of applesauce.

I used a combination of half Granny Smith and half Gala apples and it was the perfect balance of tart and sweet. The cinnamon adds nice flavor as well.

My apples are Red delicious that are falling of the tree before being totally ripe and they made great applesauce. Love this recipe. Making another batch tonight.

Hi there you can use any sort of apples. Just depends on how tart you would like your sauce. I like to use jonathans and gala apples personally.
