This blend of spices is perfectly balanced for all your gingerbread spice needs.
Gather all the ingredients. If all of them are not already ground or not ground finely enough (like black pepper), take the time to grind them in a spice grinder, with a grater, or using a mortar and pestle.
Measure out and combine the spices in a bowl. Store in an airtight container and use as desired.
You can double or triple the recipe as needed. The above is enough for one batch of gingerbread cookies (roughly 1 3/4 tablespoons).
