My brother-in-law’s “secret” recipe. He says if you keep it secret, you will have something unique. If you share it with friends, you’ll have lots of happy folks! I’m sure you’ll agree, and it’s just in time for Christmas. Enjoy.
Beat egg whites till just before stiff peaks form. Add marshmallow creme and continue beating until well mixed. Remove to a large bowl.
In a separate bowl, beat egg yolks until they are a lemon yellow color. Add powdered sugar and vanilla and combine well.
Gently fold yolk mixture into the whites. Combine carefully and if you aren’t using immediately, cover tightly and refrigerate.
When you are ready to enjoy this, bring a large kettle of water to a boil. Dollop 1/4 to 1/3 cup of batter into a coffee mug. Add liquor to taste, usually 1/2 shot brandy and 1/2 shot rum. Fill the mug with water and sprinkle nutmeg liberally on top of each serving.
Happy holidays!

I have been looking for a good Tom & Jerry recipe forever and am very excited to try this one. For many years, my dad’s family gathered together for Christmas and dinner always ended with a round or two of Tom & Jerry’s. The smell was wonderful…and now and then I would get a sip. I loved them. Good memories.
