Our Christmas Morning tradition—delicious, crisp bacon made memorable with the sweetness of caramelized brown sugar and a hint of mustard. Even those who cling to the “I don’t like bacon” motto like it!
Fry bacon in batches. Crisp is best, but that may be opinion talking. Do what you like!
Once bacon is cooked, drain the pan and wipe out most of the bacon fat with a paper towel (be careful!). Mix together the brown sugar and mustard until creamy. Return bacon to the pan over high heat. As best you can, drizzle the brown sugar mixture over the bacon and “fold” it into the bacon pieces, continuing until each piece of bacon is coated nicely.
Remove bacon to a serving platter, separating slices for easier serving.
A little messy in the serving, but worth it!
