Description

Homemade Mocha Frappe. A great way to save money and cool down this summer.

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Strong Brewed Coffee Chilled
  • ½ cups Milk
  • 2 cups Ice Cubes
  • 3 Tablespoons Sugar
  • 3 Tablespoons Chocolate Syrup
  • ½ cups Whipped Cream, For Garnish
  • 2 Tablespoons Chocolate Syrup, For Garnish

Preparation

Note: Brew your coffee ahead of time, making it strong. Allow it to chill for a bit.

Add all ingredients (except the whipped cream and the last chocolate syrup line) into your blender, and blend until smooth. Pour into a nice frosty glass, top with whipped cream, chocolate syrup and whatever else your coffee-loving heart desires.

Recipe Note: Depending on how sweet you like your frappe, you may use more or less sugar and syrup.

Deliciously simple! I’ve made this twice – once with sugar and some Greek yogurt, and once with agave nectar in place of the sugar. Absolutely yummy – and a great, icy replacement for hot coffee that’s perfect for summer. (I use just a bit more coffee and a little less milk since my coffee isn’t brewed quite as strong as the recipe calls for) Great recipe! :)

What a great way to use up leftover morning coffee! I substituted vanilla Greek yogurt for the sugar to enhance the creaminess and still had plenty of sweetness. Yum! Thanks for sharing this easy, refreshing beverage for the 100 degree days we’re having right now!
