Italian chilled espresso drink.
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add espresso or brewed coffee and simple syrup. Shake vigorously for about 30 seconds. Pour into a martini glass or champagne flute. Garnish with a piece of orange peel.
Note: To make your own simple syrup, combine 1 cup water and 1 cup sugar in a small saucepan and bring to a boil. Simmer until the sugar is dissolved, about 3 minutes. Remove from heat and let cool.
To make it extra fancy, add a 1/2 or 1 shot of Bailey’s, Frangelico, or other liqueur to the cocktail shaker and pour into a martini glass that has been brushed with a little bit of chocolate syrup.
