Description
A vibrant violet liqueur made by steeping blueberries in gin. Perfect for holiday parties and hostess gifts!
Ingredients
- 1 quart Good Quality Gin (Bombay Sapphire)
- 2 cups Blueberries
- ½ cups Sugar
Preparation
Mix gin, blueberries and sugar in a large glass container with a tight fitting lid. Shake well and store in a cool, dark place for at least two weeks, and up to two months. Turn and shake the bottle every couple of days.
When the mixture is a luxurious blue, it’s ready to use. Strain it through several layers of cheesecloth into clean bottles.
Use as desired in your favorite cocktail.

I will definitely try this. It is very pretty ( I love the picture! ). I recently did this with white rum and blood oranges. It’s fun to experiment with different beverages and fruits, and it does certainly make a lovely gift.
