Amaretto Margaritas

Description
Tasty twist on the classic margarita.
Ingredients
- ¾ cups Sugar
- ¾ cups Water
- 1-½ cup Fresh Lime Juice (for 1 1/2 Cups You'll Need About 9 Limes)
- 1 cup Tequila
- ¾ cups Orange Juice
- ½ cups Amaretto (almond-flavored Liqueur)
- Optional Garnishes: Lime Wedges, Coarse Salt For Rimming The Glass
Preparation
Combine sugar and water in a small saucepan; bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes or until sugar dissolves. Remove from heat and allow the syrup to cool completely. Then stir in lime juice.
Combine sugar mixture, tequila, orange juice, and amaretto in a pitcher.
Serve in your favorite cocktail glasses or margarita glasses over ice.
Garnish with lime slices if desired. You may also serve in salt-rimmed glasses.
