Buttery, nutty graham cracker “bars.”
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Line two 10″ x 15″ sheet pans with foil. Separate the graham crackers into halves and quarters and arrange on top of the foil, sides touching and covering the entire surface of the pan. Sprinkle chopped nuts evenly over the crackers.
Melt the butter in a sauce pan over medium heat. Add the sugar. Stir together and bring to a foaming boil for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring frequently.
Slowly pour the butter mixture evenly over the crackers and nuts. Use all of it! This is no time for butter trepidation.
Bake for 10 to 12 minutes at 350 degrees. Remove promptly. Let cool for 10 to 15 minutes. Peel off the foil and store in a tightly covered container. These are excellent for Christmas gift-giving!
