Description

Everyone has their version of the best pie crust ever. This one wins in my book, hands down! It’s so easy too!

Ingredients

  • 2 cups Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ cups Sugar
  • ¾ cups Shortening (I Use Crisco)
  • 6 Tablespoons Water (or Up To Eight, If The Dough Does Not Come Together)

Preparation

Combine flour, salt, and sugar in a bowl. Cut in shortening until mealy, with some large chunks as well. Mix ice water in with a fork until dough comes together when squeezed with your hands.

Form the dough into a ball. Divide it in half and chill for at least 30 minutes. Use for two single crust pies or one double crust.
