This is the nutty chocolate icing that accompanies my Tex-Mex Chocolate Cake. Because, what’s chocolate cake without chocolate icing?
Combine butter, cocoa, and whole milk (it’s cake, don’t try to be health-conscious now) in a large saucepan and heat over medium heat until bubbles form around the edge of the pan. Remove saucepan from heat. Add powdered sugar, vanilla, and toasted pecans. Beat mixture until well-blended. Frost Tex-Mex Chocolate Cake while still warm. Scrape the rest of the icing out of the saucepan and treat yourself. You’ve earned it!
Share cake with family, friends, co-workers, neighbors, Yankees, church members, or enemies you’re trying to convert to friends. Enjoy!
