An autumn and winter favorite of mine! Delicious and easy after a warm meal on a cold day! It will take you longer to read the title than to prepare it!
Note: If pears are not very sweet, you can sprinkle some sugar on them beforehand. You can also add limoncello to taste if you wish to use less or more. I also like to place pears in the oven for a few minutes before adding the cream (for a warm dessert), but that is optional. Also, I count half-a-pear as one portion – so this recipe makes 4 servings in my book.
Peel pears and cut in half length-wise. Remove core and seeds. At this point you can warm them if you choose, or just place on your serving plate.
In a sauce pan, heat the cream for 30 seconds on low heat. You do not want to cook the cream – you are just heating it. Stir constantly. Add sugar and limoncello. Stir.
Drizzle about a quarter cup of cream mixture on each pear halve. Add a dash of cinnamon and serve!
