Description

Delicious sugar cookies coated with a cream cheese and sugar mixture, topped with fresh fruit, mini chocolate chips and drizzled with rich chocolate.

Ingredients

  • 2 sticks Softened Butter (1 Cups)
  • 1-½ cup Powdered Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 2-½ cups All-purpose Flour
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Soda
  • 1 teaspoon Cream Of Tartar
  • Large Egg

Preparation

THE ULTIMATE SUGAR COOKIE!

Combine powdered sugar and butter. Add the eggs, flour, vanilla, baking soda, cream of tartar and mix thoroughly.

Split into two large balls and cover with plastic wrap. Refrigerate at least 2 hours or until firm.

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees.

Before rolling out the dough, be sure to sprinkle the area with confectioners sugar to prevent the dough from sticking. Using a rolling pin, flatten out sections of the dough to about 1/8 inch thick. Using a cookie cutter, cut out shapes and place on a cookie sheet.

Bake for about 14 – 18 minutes or until a light golden brown. DO NOT OVERBAKE! Remove from oven and cool.

Wash and dry the fruit. You can use almost any type, strawberries, blueberries, peaches, apples, oranges, grapes, kiwi, etc. Cut fruit into bite-sized pieces and set aside.

Make Cream Cheese Frosting (yum)

8 oz. Cream Cheese
2 tablespoons butter
1 teaspoons vanilla
1 cups confectioners sugar

Mix thoroughly and spread about a tablespoon on top of each cookie. Now arrange the fruit on top of the cream cheese. Sprinkle with mini chocolate chips and drizzle melted semi-sweet chocolate over all.

This recipe will make 2 – 3 dozen cookies depending on the size cookie cutter you use.
