This is a Peruvian typical sweet. Its made of milk and sugar, and its amazing. All credit goes to “Libro de Oro de Nicolini”, a recipe book very famouse among housewives in Lima, Peru. I only take credit in the translation! But it is one of my favourite sweets of all time!
In a pan, cook both milks stirring non-stop, until smooth. Add yolks and vanilla.
In another pan, place sugar, cover with port and cook until caramelized.
Beat egg whites till tight peaks, and start pouring the caramelized sugar without stopping until cool.
Place the milk sweet in individual clear cups, and place the meringue on top.
Decorate with powdered cinammon.

Hola …. Thanks you so much for submitting this recipe …
I can’t wait to try it.
My husband is from Lima and I love to eat and prepare Peruvian food. I was wondering do you have a recipe (in English) for Tallarine Verde? I love it and have been unsuccessful in finding a good recipe. Thanks so much!
