Strawberry or raspberry coulis dessert sauce. It’s great on ice cream or with any kind of chocolate dessert… Actually, it’s great with any dessert period!
1. Combine defrosted berries with sugar and bring slowly to a boil.
2. Dissolve cornstarch with just enough water to dissolve it.
3. As soon as the fruit mixture boils, thicken it with dissolved corn starch. Once it thickens, turn off the heat and allow to cool slightly.
4. Pour sauce into your food processor and puree. Once pureed, strain all the seeds out.
5. Wrap and cool the sauce in the fridge.
6. For service, you could prepare squeeze bottles with coulis and drizzle over your favorite dessert.
