Description

This ice pops are full of color, and not only do they look amazing, they taste great! They are also very healthy: fruit with agave nectar. I made a combination of strawberry, lime and kiwi. They are the perfect treat for afternoon cravings.

Ingredients

  • FOR THE STRAWBERRY LAYER:
  • 14 ounces, weight Strawberries
  • 5 Tablespoons Agave Nectar
  • 1 whole Lime, Juiced
  • FOR THE LIME LAYER:
  • 1 whole Lime, Zest And Juice
  • 5 ounces, fluid Cold Water
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Agave Nectar
  • FOR THE KIWI LAYER:
  • 1  Kiwi
  • 3-⅓ Tablespoons Cold Water
  • 1-½ Tablespoon Agave Nectar

Preparation

Wash and disinfect the fruit. Arrange 9 plastic cups on a muffin tin.

For the strawberry layer:
Blend the strawberries, agave nectar and lime juice until smooth. Divide the strawberry mixture evenly among the plastic cups. Place the muffin tin in the freezer and freeze for 2 hours. When the strawberry mixture is slightly frozen, insert a craft stick into the center of each cup; it has to stand up straight. If it falls, let freeze for a little longer.

After 2 hours, prepare the lime layer.

For the lime layer:
Mix the zest and juice of the lime with water and agave. Get the muffin tin from the freezer and pour evenly the lime mixture to make a second layer. Freeze again until hard, about 3 hours.

For the kiwi layer:
Blend all the ingredients for the kiwi layer. Pour the kiwi mixture over lime layer and freeze until solid, about 3-4 hours.

When ready to serve, cut the plastic cups and gently pull each ice pop. Enjoy!
