These rich, peanut buttery, chocolatey bars are such a nostalgic treat for me. They remind me of high school. Of friends, and their moms, and finding ‘home’ with the families of others when I was far away from my home. They remind me of the midwest. Of long winters and of basketball. What will they remind you of?
Lightly grease a 9×13″ pan.
Bring the sugar and syrup to a boil. Remove from the heat and stir in the peanut butter, vanilla and cereal. Pour into the prepared pan. Let the bars cool.
Melt together the butterscotch and milk chocolate chips and pour over the bars. Leave at room temperature until set, cut into small bars (these are VERY rich!) and serve!
This recipe can easily be doubled into two 9×13″ pans or halved into a 9×9″ pan.
Cheater math: half of 1 1/3 cup peanut butter is 2/3 cup!

Woah! I made these last night, I couldn’t wait to try them after I added them to my box. They are DELICIOUS. So so easy and good. Very rich though, you are right about that!
