Description

A delicious southern peach cobbler. Comfort at its finest!

Ingredients

  • 7  Peaches, Rinsed, Peeled, Sliced
  • ¼ teaspoons Ground Cinnamon
  • ¼ teaspoons Ground Nutmeg
  • ¼ cups White Sugar
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar
  • 2 teaspoons Cornstarch
  • 1-¼ teaspoon Lemon Juice
  • FOR THE CRUST:
  • 1 cup Flour
  • ¼ cups White Sugar
  • ¼ cups Brown Sugar
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • 7 Tablespoons Softened Butter
  • ¼ cups Water
  • FOR THE CINNAMON-SUGAR TOPPING:
  • 2 Tablespoons White Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon

Preparation

Preheat oven to 425ºF.

Place sliced peaches into a large mixing bowl. Add cinnamon, nutmeg, white sugar, brown sugar, cornstarch, and lemon juice. Mix everything together.

Place peach mixture into a baking dish and spread out evenly. Bake 10–15 minutes. Remove from oven.

For the crust:
In a separate medium-sized mixing bowl, add flour, white sugar, brown sugar, pinch of salt, and baking powder. Whisk everything together.

Add softened butter and work into the mixture with your hands. Add the water and mix it all together.

For the cinnamon sugar topping:
Add sugar and cinnamon into a small separate bowl and stir together.

Once peaches have finished baking, spoon the crust mixture onto the top of the peaches in small spoonfuls. Sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixture on top of the crust. Place cobbler back into the oven and bake 30 minutes or until sides are bubbling and top is a nice golden brown.

Remove from oven, serve, and enjoy! Serve warm with vanilla ice cream if desired. Yum!
