A not-too-sweet pie that is a really OLD recipe. My sister is a grandmother now, and this has been her birthday “cake” her whole life. (Wouldn’t she appreciate me saying THAT??)
Mix vanilla wafer crumbs, butter, sugar and cinnamon. Press into a 9″ pie plate and set aside.
Mix remaining ingredients and pour over crust. Bake at 325 degrees for one hour.
*Note: This is just as good with a regular ol’ graham cracker crust. Also, it is wonderful served warm, room temperature or chilled- your choice.
