A rustic tart full of apples, walnuts and raisins. Perfect served warm with a scoop of vanilla ice cream.
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
For the filling, in a 10-inch ovenproof skillet, melt the butter over medium heat. Add apples and lemon zest and cook for 5 minutes until apples begin to soften. Remove from heat and stir in raisins, walnuts, cinnamon, brown sugar, honey, brandy and vanilla.
Lay crust on top of the filling in the skillet.
In a small bowl combine the granulated sugar and cinnamon (for the crust). Brush the crust with melted butter and sprinkle with the cinnamon sugar.
Bake for 30 – 35 minutes until crust is golden brown.
Allow to cool in the pan for 5 minutes then turn out onto a large platter, or if you prefer you can serve it directly from the skillet!
If any of the filling sticks to the skillet when turning it onto the platter, just scrape it out of the pan and put it back in place on the tart.

Well duh! I guess you mean that you subbed pecans for the walnuts. I was thinking pecan cobbler.

Yum! Great idea to use only the pecans. Hubby actually loves nuts but not so much the fruit. I’ll be trying that.

Oh, this sounds great! Many of my favorite things in this. And I even have apple brandy that some friends made; what a perfect way to use some! Will try it soon.
