Description

A summertime treat, turned into bars!

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Butter, Softened
  • ¾ cups Sugar
  • 1  Egg
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla Extract
  • 1-⅓ cup Flour
  • ¾ cups Graham Cracker Crumbs
  • 1 teaspoon Baking Powder
  • ¼ teaspoons Salt
  • 3 whole To 4 Whole Milk Chocolate Candy Bars, Unwrapped (the 1 5/8 Oz. Size Hershey’s Bar Is Recommended)
  • 3 cups Miniature Marshmallows

Preparation

1. Heat oven to 350 F. Line an 8×8 inch baking pan with parchment paper, and coat the paper with non stick spray. If you allow two ends of the paper to hang over the sides of the pan, you can use the paper as a handle to remove the finished product from the pan.
2. In a large bowl, beat butter and sugar. Add egg and vanilla. Beat until blended.
3. In another bowl, add flour, graham cracker crumbs, baking powder, and salt. Add flour mixture into the butter mixture, beating until well combined.
4. Add half the dough to the bottom of the baking dish, pressing down well to cover the pan evenly. Bake for 15 minutes.
5. Arrange chocolate bars evenly over the baked layer. You can break up the bars if needed so that the entire surface of the crust is covered.
6. Top chocolate layer with marshmallow. Use a spoon and “drop” the remaining dough on top of marshmallows layer, forming another layer.
7. Bake 10-15 minutes or until just browned. Remove from oven and cool completely before cutting. They will cut easier if you let them stand overnight.
