This pecan pie is made with dark Karo syrup and a dash of salt. It’s caramel-y and gooey and heavenly.
Preheat oven to 375ºF.
1. Put unbaked pie crust into your pie plate.
2. Combine all of the ingredients (except pecans) in your mixer in the order listed. Mix until very creamy.
3. Chop 1/2 cup of the pecans to desired consistency, and pour into the bottom of the pie crust. Place the remaining 1 cup whole or partially chopped pecans on top of the chopped nuts.
4. Pour pecan pie filling over the pecans.
5. Lay a sheet of tin foil over the pie so the crust doesnt burn.
6. Bake at 375ºF for 50-60 minutes.
