All the flavors of pecan pie rolled into a bar!
Heat oven to 350 F.
Crust :
Combine 1 1/4 cups flour, butter and sugar in large bowl. Beat at medium speed, scraping side of bowl often, until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in 1/4 cup pecans.
Press crust mixture evenly onto bottom of ungreased 8 or 9 inch square baking pan. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until light golden brown on edges.
Filling: Corn syrup, brown sugar, eggs, flour, vanilla & salt.
Combine all filling ingredients except pecans in small bowl; mix well.
Stir in pecans. Spread evenly over hot, partially baked crust. Bake 20-30 minutes or until filling appears to be set and knife inserted 1 inch from edge comes out clean.
Cool Completely; cut into bars.

That’s okay….
Ironically I only saw these comments b/c I came back to the recipe this evening to prepare these again, this time for Thanksgiving tomorrow.
I also just found the comments TK emailed me this morning – they were in my spam filter.
I’ve never left any review on TK before – I just forget to. I’d recently been thinking I should go back and give reviews for all the things I’ve made and loved from TK and your bars were the most recent recipe I’d made, so I gave you a 5-star (5-mitt) review first.
Thanks for sharing the recipe…

My apologies to sestraka …you were saying the pecan bars ” are so much easier to make than pecan pie and taste just like pecan pie”….I totally read it the wrong way!

sestraka if you didn’t bake the pecan bars you really shouldn’t be reviewing them, that’s what the comment section was created for. And just because you like pecan pie doesn’t mean that there aren’t people out there that don’t like it in a cookie form. Your comment served no purpose in my opinion.

Glad you liked them, christiers! They taste just like a little pecan pie!
