My Mom’s Pecan Ball recipe is delicious and easy to make. And it’s perfect to fill a treat bag with these little guys and give to a friend!
Preheat oven to 350 F and line 2 cookie sheets with silicone baking pads or parchment.
In a large bowl mix butter, salt, ½ cup confectioners’ sugar, and vanilla until smooth. Gradually add pecans and sifted flour.
Using the a small scoop make 1″ balls, rolling them between your palms until smooth. Place them on baking sheets with 2″ in between. Bake 1 sheet at a time in the upper third of the oven for 12-15 minutes or until bottom is lightly brown. Cool on racks.
Place ⅓ cup confectioners’ sugar in a bowl and roll the cooled balls around until coated, returning them to racks to allow the sugar to set.
Store in an airtight container for 2 weeks or freeze for up to 1 month.
