Description

These bars go together in minutes and will be ready to enjoy in no time. Your kids will go bonkers for these! Is there really anything better than rich chocolate and peanut butter?

Ingredients

  • ½ cups Granulated Sugar
  • ½ cups Brown Sugar
  • ½ cups Creamy Peanut Butter
  • ½ cups Softened Butter
  • 1 teaspoon Vanilla
  • 1 Tablespoon Water
  • 1 whole Egg
  • 1-¼ cup All-purpose Flour
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • ½ teaspoons Salt
  • ¾ cups Semi-sweet Or Milk Chocolate Chips

Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Coat a 9x13x2 inch pan with cooking spray; set aside.
2. In a small mixing bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside.
3. In a medium mixing bowl, beat sugars, peanut butter, butter and vanilla. Beat in the water and egg. Add the flour mixture all at once and mix well. Stir in the chocolate chips.
4. Bake until light brown, about 20-23 minutes. Cool and cut into 2 x 1 1/2 inch bars.

Makes 36 bars.

don’t know how many times i’ve made these – it’s my favorite quick snack recipe. our family loves them and everyone that’s had them raves about them too.

I love these.
Instead of regular chocolate chips we did half a bag of miniature semi-sweet chips (they were all we had left haha).
They’re so good. We made them last night and we only have half left. They are really soft and chewy and only baked for about 20 minutes before they were perfectly golden brown. They’re the perfect blend.
Great recipe. Definitely one of my favorites from here!
