Description

A simple, quick dessert that I enjoy making when peaches are in season. Looks elegant enough to serve to guests, too.

Ingredients

  • ½ sticks Butter
  • 5 Tablespoons Sugar, Divided
  • 2 teaspoons Cinnamon
  • 1 container Refrigerated Crescent Rolls
  • 8 ounces, weight Mascarpone Cheese OR Whipped Cream Cheese
  • 16 slices Fresh Peaches, Peeled
  • Cooking Spray

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350. Spray muffin tins with cooking spray.

Melt butter in a small bowl. In another bowl, combine 3 tablespoons sugar with the cinnamon. Separate crescent rolls into the perforated triangles. Dip each triangle into butter, then cinnamon-sugar. Do this on one side only. With the butter-sugar side facing out, place each triangle into a muffin tin, pressing to make a cup.

Combine mascarpone cheese with remaining 2 tablespoons sugar using a fork. Then, place 1 heaping tablespoon into each crescent roll cup.

Peel and slice peaches. Place approximately 2 slices on top of cheese. Lightly sprinkle a bit of sugar on top of each.

Bake for 11 minutes. After removing from the oven, let stand for 5 minutes. Then, slide a table knife between the cups and the muffin tin. Cups should slide out easily.

Serve warm or at room temperature, on their own, or with a scoop of ice cream if you wish.

I needed to do something with the last of our peaches and thought this looked like a good recipe. WELL!!! These were absolutely fabulous! Almost like a peachy cream cheese cinnamon roll. I will definitely be making these again.

Is it bad that I just made these and ate 4 of them as a “taste”? I didn’t have Mascarpone cheese so I used Ricotta with almond extract and a bit of sugar. Yum!

Do you think these would be good with puff pastry instead of crescent rolls? Or phylo dough? (Are those the same things? lol)

I couldn’t find marscapone cheese (my market has 18 varieties of Danish bleu, one cheddar and nothing fancy…) so I used ricotta and mixed the cinnamon sugar in instead of putting it on the crescent rolls. Yum!!!!

Very good. I made these as a dessert for a bible study. They were a hit with the group. They were equally delicious warmed up the next morning for breakfast!

I made these today (sorta) and they were very good. I let my baby (sorta, he is six) carry the peaches at the Farmer’s Market and he swung them around until they were nothing but mush. So….I made an apple version. I used mascapone, but next time I will try the cream cheese because the mascapone became too runny but still delicious. I had 2 T of butter left in the bowl, so you can easily cut the butter down to 3 T. Yum.

Just made these, and my husband and I each ate 4! The cream cheese is sooo good when warm. Super easy. Can’t wait to make for guests.

These were easy to make and very tasty. I think I used too much cheese because it was very liquidy, but the flavor was awesome. Would definitely try with different fruits as well. Thanks for posting this recipe.
