This recipe is for one of my all-time favorite comfort foods: my grandmother’s Peach Cobbler. Peach is just one of the types of cobbler in Grandmother’s repertoire, but it’s always been my absolute favorite. (Blackberry cobbler is a close second, though!)
Preheat oven to 400ºF. Place the butter in a 9×13″ baking dish. Place the dish in the oven until the butter melts.
While butter is melting, stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and milk in a large bowl until well combined. Start with 2/3 cups of milk. Add up to 1/3 cup more if needed to give the mixture the consistency of pancake batter.
Pour batter over the top of the melted butter in the baking dish. Spoon both cans of the sliced peaches and syrup over the top of the batter.
Bake at 400ºF for 45-60 minutes.

There are no blackberries in this particular cobbler. Just peaches and lots of yummy crust! My grandmother used to make a blackberry/peach cobbler, but I haven’t been brave enough to attempt that feat yet. Guess I just got my crust a little too dark!

The picture looks as though there are some kind of berries in it. Did you combine the peaches and blackberries for this? No berries are listed in the ingredients. Thanks.
