Description

Payday candy bar cupcakes topped with caramel peanut butter frosting.

Ingredients

  • 1 box Chocolate Cake Mix, 18-20 Ounce Box
  • Additional Required Ingredients Specified On Cake Box (typically Water, Eggs And Oil)
  • 1 cup Butter, Softened
  • 1 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
  • 1 cup Packed Light Brown Sugar
  • 3 cups Powdered Sugar
  • 7 Tablespoons Heavy Cream
  • 2 whole Payday Bars, 1.8 Ounce Bars, Unwrapped And Roughly Chopped

Preparation

Prepare the batter and bake chocolate cake per box instructions for cupcakes. My mix made 24 cupcakes. Remove from oven and allow to cool before frosting.

To make the frosting, combine butter, peanut butter, and brown sugar in a mixing bowl. Mix the frosting until creamy and lump free. Fold in powdered sugar in two parts, until fully combined. Then add in heavy cream. Mix until creamy and smooth.

After cupcakes have cooled frost cupcakes using your preferred method and top with the Payday crumbles. Serve immediately or refrigerate until ready to eat.
