Oatmeal base topped with peanut butter and chocolate. Super easy to make, and everyone loves it!
For the base:
Cream margarine/butter and sugar. Add the corn syrup, vanilla extract and oatmeal, making sure they’re all blended together well.
Press into the bottom of a lined or well greased 9×13 pan.
Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes. Cool slightly.
For the topping:
Melt together the chocolate and peanut butter. When the oatmeal base is warm (not HOT), drizzle on the chocolate-peanut butter mixture, making sure to coat the whole surface evenly.
Let cool, but slice into bars/squares/triangles, whatever suits your fancy BEFORE it gets totally cold. It’ll be easier to slice before the whole thing hardens.
Freezes well. Keeps in the fridge for weeks as well!
