Description

Simple oatmeal bars stuffed with Nutella, chocolate, and chopped Ferrero Rocher candies.

Ingredients

  • ¾ cups Butter, Melted
  • 1-½ cup Quick Cooking Oats
  • ¾ cups Packed Light Brown Sugar
  • 1 cup All-purpose Flour, Plus 3 Tablespoons (divided Use)
  • ½ teaspoons Baking Soda
  • 1-⅓ cup Milk Chocolate Chips
  • ¾ cups Nutella
  • ½ cups Chopped Ferrero Rocher Candies, Plus 3 Tablespoons, Divided Use

Preparation

Preheat the oven to 400 F. Lightly coat a 9×9 inch baking pan with cooking spray; set aside.

Combine butter, oats, sugar, 1 cup flour, and baking soda in a large bowl. Mix until crumbs form. Set aside ½ cup of this mixture. Press the remaining mixture into the bottom of prepared baking pan. Bake for 10 minutes.

Remove pan from oven. Sprinkle chocolate chips over crust. Combine Nutella and remaining 3 tablespoons of flour in a small bowl. Stir until well blended. Drop large spoons full of this evenly over the top of the chocolate chips. Sprinkle 1/2 cup of the chopped candies over the Nutella. Sprinkle reserved crumb mixture over top of the filling. Sprinkle remaining 3 tablespoons of chopped candies on top of crumbs.

Return to the oven for 20 minutes or until the top has browned lightly. Do not over bake. Remove pan from oven. Run a thin knife along the edge of the pan to loosen bars from pan. Cool completely in the pan on a wire rack. Cut into squares.
