Warning: this recipe is sticky, gooey, chocolate-y, and may cause injury from impatient family members waiting to be fed. Don’t blame me. Blame the delicious Nutella that makes these rice krispies absolutely perfect.
Measure the cereal into a large mixing bowl and set aside. Melt the marshmallows and butter together in a medium saucepan over medium heat. Add 2 tablespoons of Nutella and stir until combined. Pour the melted marshmallow mixture over the cereal, stirring well to evenly coat.
Pour into a prepared dish and press evenly into the pan, using parchment paper to avoid sticking. Microwave the remaining 1/4 cup of Nutella for 20 seconds, stopping halfway to stir the mixture. Spread the topping evenly across the top of the krispies. Allow the topping to set, then cut into squares and then dig in!
