This recipe came to me from my beloved Nana. She was a site to be seen in the kitchen. I inherited her love of cooking. These have always been called brownies by my family but they are more like blondies. Whatever you call them they are DELICIOUS!
Preheat oven to 350.
In a large saucepan over low heat melt together the butter and brown sugar. Once it’s melted, remove from heat and add the remaining ingredients (except the chocolate chips and walnuts). Mix well. Spread mixture into a greased 9″x9″ pan.
Sprinkle with about 1/2 cup of chocolate chips and 1/2 cup of chopped walnuts. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350 degrees F.
