Description

These decadent bars are moist, delicious and topped off with heavenly, creamy, velvety, whipped maple cream cheese frosting.

Ingredients

  • ⅓ cups Granulated Sugar
  • ⅓ cups Canola Oil
  • 3 whole Eggs
  • 15 ounces, weight Canned Pumpkin
  • 1 box (18.25 Oz. Box) Yellow Cake Mix
  • 3 teaspoons Pumpkin Pie Spice
  • 12 ounces, weight Cream Cheese, Softened
  • 2 sticks Unsalted Butter, Softened
  • 2 cups Powdered Sugar
  • ¼ cups Pure Maple Syrup

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease and flour a 9×13 cake pan or 15×10 jelly roll. In a large bowl, combine sugar, oil, eggs and pumpkin. Beat together on low until combined. Add cake mix and spice and mix on medium high for 2 minutes. Pour into a greased pan and bake for 25-35 minutes or until a cake tester comes out clean. Cool completely.

Frosting:

Mix cream cheese and butter together until creamy. Add powdered sugar and maple syrup, whipping on low until moist then whipping on high for a couple minutes. Frost and cut into bars. Store in the refrigerator.
