A concoction of chocolate and mint so incredibly yummy, it would tempt a saint.
Brownies: cream 1/2 cup butter and sugar, add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and chocolate syrup. Mix in flour and salt, beat for 3 minutes.
Pour into a 13×9″ pan (grease it or use parchment paper). Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. COOL COMPLETELY.
Mint filling:
Cream 1/2 cup butter; add powdered sugar, water, mint extract and food coloring. Beat until creamy. Spread over the brownies and chill in the fridge for at least an hour.
Mint chocolate frosting:
Melt 9 tablespoons butter and chocolate chips in a saucepan. (I used 1/2 bag of green mint chocolate chips and 1/2 bag Hershey’s milk chocolate chips.) Pour melted chocolate over the filling. Cover and chill overnight (or in the freezer for a few hours if you are in a hurry!)
These bars are incredibly rich and sweet and minty, so I cut them pretty small. I usually get 60 bars to a pan!

OMG ! these are the most wonderful brownies ever. I had these same brownies at a gathering last night; and it was the exact same recipe! If you love mint meltaways from Fannie Mae, this is for you. This is exactly what they taste like. 10 stars !
