A great way to indulge without the guilt: grilled cinnamon pears drizzled with maple syrup, topped with pecans and a nutritionally dense honey tahini cream!
1. Preheat your grill to low. Slice pears in half from the top to the bottom and remove any seeds that are showing.
2. Place pears cut side down on the heated grill. Cover and cook for 20-25 minutes or until tender. The green skin will turn a light brown color. Alternately, you can use a grill pan in the kitchen and cover with foil, or bake for 30 minutes at 350 F in the oven.
3. While pears cook, make cream. In a small bowl whisk cream cheese, tahini, lemon juice, honey and vanilla with a fork until completely incorporated and smooth.
4. To serve pears: Place pear, cut side up in bowl. Top with 1 tablespoon of maple syrup and 1-2 tablespoons of tahini cream. Sprinkle with cinnamon and chopped pecans. Serve warm.
