Similar to broiled grapefruit, but without the butter! You get all the fun of cracking a creme brulee shell without the fat and calories of a custard. Great for dessert on a summer evening! Note, you could do this under an oven broiler as well, but the blow torch is so fun! This recipe is easily doubled, tripled, quadrupled, etc. Just use multiple ramekins or one big pan!
1. Segment the grapefruit.
2. Pat grapefruit segments with a kitchen or paper towel.
3. Place segments in a ceramic ramekin.
4. Spread sugar evening over the segments.
5. Brulee the sugar with a kitchen torch until melted and pieces of grapefruit have charred slightly.
6. Serve!
